This post is to address the spiritual side of all relevant aspects of life. Every time I talk about things such as government or life in general, I keep getting back to God and the Bible. I don't believe in the "clock theory," that God wound up the universe like a clock and let it go and has no interaction or concern for us on earth. How do I prove this? Why simply, God has pursued me and I know Him. He is not an idea, He is not an imaginary friend, He is not "the Force," and I'm not crazy. How many of you Christians out there know that God has "apprehended" you? In addition to this, how many of you know that your own assumptions kept you from hearing revelation for a time? My assumptions once led me to believe in things contrary to scripture. My goal is to explore God's ways as they apply to life in all it's aspects, including government.
Today I was very thoughtful, and in that thoughtfulness I came across a book by the late Dr. James Kennedy called "How Would Jesus Vote?" I didn't look in the book, and I have a lot of respect for Dr. Kennedy, but I rather imagined how Christians and Liberals might answer that question. I think that my thoughts may be contrary to many of these answers. At first, my thoughts were contrary to my own anwer, but I believe the Bible is clear regarding who Jesus would vote for, so my answer is perhaps different from most people's.
Before I write what I thought about, I'm interested to hear from people regarding this question. So shoot it up!
